All orders, wherever possible, will leave our depot within 4 working days (e.g. Mon-Fri) of the order being placed (99% of the time it is within 2 days!); however due to the quality of our products which are not mass produced we do on occasion run out of some lines and therefore we may not have some of your selection in stock. If it is only one item that is out of stock we will use our descretion and substitute with a similar item. If it is a significant number of lines we will contact you to advise of the situation and offer an alternative choice. If you do not wish an alternative choice you can agree a later delivery date or you can cancel the order and receive a full refund. We think that you shouldn't have to worry about your sweets reaching you or getting lost in the post - and for that reason we use DHL as our courier for all our deliveries. One element of the DHL service is called Lifestyle Delivery, basically this means that parcels may be delivered up to 9PM giving more opprotunity for someone to be home to receive your parcel. All parcels sent via DHL are trackable, enabling us and you to know where your sweets are at any point during transit. Our standard delivery charge is £4.99 for 1 X .25 jar and refills up to 700g, then £6.50 for up to 10KG and 45p per KG thereafter. A second delivery attempt will be made if no one is home and a card with contact details to re arrange a mutual time will also be left. If a third attempt is required there may be an additional delivery charge levied, so please try and be available or when placing your order suggest a secure place for the parcel to be left. A signature is required upon delivery - unless whilst completing your order you ask us to leave it unattended in a porch, garage or with a neighbour etc. Please note that if opting to receive your parcel without a signature The Sweet Jar of Ambleside does not accept liability for parcels which have been delivered then subsequently go missing. You will not be able to copmplete your order on line if you live overseas. Please contact us by phone or email for overseas delivery information and charges. Ireland is classed as overseas. Unfortunately we do not ship to USA or Canada. If you have a specific date such as a birthday, anniversary or special occasion by which time you must have your order then please specify on the order form and we will do our utmost to ensure it is there!  |
